What Makes Illinois Back Institute Different Than Standard Back Treatment?

Posted by Illinois Back Institute on Thu, Jan 21, 2016 @ 01:26 PM

Orland_Park_Clinic1.jpgAt the Illinois Back Institute we get asked a lot of questions from people who want to know more about us. Of course, they want to learn more about Functional Disc Rehydration and how it works. But aside from that, one of the most common questions we get asked is some variation of, "What makes the Illinois Back Institute so much different or better than the standard treatment my general practitioner and other doctors might prescribe?" The answer to that is simple; it's because the Illinois Back Institute is a group of doctors, all on one team, who work together to treat each and every patient.

One of the biggest problems with health care today is that it is a very fragmented system, often requiring several separate and unrelated practices or doctors to treat patients with little to no communication between each other. And because these doctors work almost exclusively independent of each other, there is little continuity in patients' care. For instance, when someone has back pain, they usually go to see their family doctor. This doctor may then send them somewhere for physical therapy. If that doesn't work, the patient may then get sent to a chiropractor. And then to someone else. And on and on. Each of these doctors are independent of each other and are not organized to work together to solve the problem.

This is where the Illinois Back Institute differs from most of the health care system. We have a team of specialists who all communicate closely and work together to determine the best course of action to target each patients' back pain and eliminate it. Our team of Specialists include:

  • Medical Doctors
  • Doctors of Physical Therapy
  • Doctors of Chiropractic
  • Board Certified Pain Specialists
  • Nurse Practitioners

When a patient comes to us for help with their back pain, we want them to know that they are getting the very best treatment available. Instead of having to see several doctors in their individual practices, with us the doctors are all in one place so the patient can be assured that they are all working in sync to help them to eliminate their back pain.

We believe in having specialized and highly skilled doctors who all work with each other on a consistent basis, with a focus on attaining true excellence in our outcomes for back pain treatment. We believe this model to be the future of health care, and we are at the forefront.

At The Illinois Back Institute we are dedicated to educating people, because we know that the more that you understand about your problem, the more likely you are to eliminate it. We specialize in Functional Disc Rehydration - a multi-disciplinary approach to making the back healthier without surgery, injectionsormedications
