What Is A Bulging Disc?

The bulging disc tends to be one of the most common causes of back pain. The discs of the spine breakdown in several different stages, and the bulging disc is normally the first phase.

There are many reasons and multiple causes for a bulging disc. And just like with any type of pain, the better you understand what is causing your pain the easier it is to treat it, or at least easier to pick what treatment makes the most sense for your condition.

Back Pain Relief Tip: Take "Micro Breaks" To Relieve Back Pain

For people who have to sit all of the time and are suffering from back pain because of it, one of the best ways to combat it is to stand up and walk around for a few minutes if you have been sitting too long.

But obviously this may not be possible for everyone, since many people have jobs where they cannot leave their desks, or are doing something else where getting up and moving around is not feasible.

So instead, do a "micro break!" It is a very simple stretch that can be done in any chair you are sitting in.

Dorothy Testimonial 600x220

Dorothy's Back Pain After Surgery Was So Bad That She Couldn't Live With It Any Longer

We all know how big of a pain a bad back can be. But what do you do when surgery doesn't work, rehabilitation facilities make it worse, and you're swallowing more pain pills than you are food?

Dorothy didn't know either. Problem after problem was popping up in her back, until she got to the point where she no longer desired to live if it meant living with her pain, because nothing was working.

Eventually, she was referred to us here at the Illinois Back Institute, and when we first saw her, she came in on a walker. Soon after she began treatment, she moved up to only using two canes. After spending more time in our clinics, before she knew it she was walking as if her spine was reborn!
