Serena Williams withdrew from the Italian Open with a lower back injury. Williams said “It was feeling a little stiff and I don’t think this is the right moment to force it. I just want to relax and get ready for the next few months.” Fourth- ranked Andy Murray has been playing through his back pain. At the French Open Murray was seen flat on his stomach on a towel in pain as his trainer working on his ailing back. Murray has been suffering from back problems since the end of last season. He has decline to reveal the exact nature of his condition but termed it as a “back spasm.” He felt fine on Wednesday but woke up and found himself unable to put any weight on his left leg without pain.
