How We Treat Back Pain. (Video)

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Tue, Nov 18, 2014 @ 05:07 PM

I get the question often from people suffering from back pain.... "How do you treat Back Pain, and why is your program so much better?"

It's not uncommon that patients will get better with our treatments, when other treatment they tried have failed. This has everything to do with how we treat, and what we treat.  We treat the "Disc", and we use a process of eliminating the pressure on the discs that allows for healing. Almost 95% of all chronic back pain stems from the disc.  When other treatments fail its because those treatments don't address the cause of the pain- The Disc.

We put togather a video about our treatment, and how we treat the disc.  Watch the video and you will have a better understanding of what makes ours so much different then all others.  We don't use any drugs or surgery.

How We Eliminate Back Pain, Herniated Discs

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Tue, Aug 26, 2014 @ 12:34 PM

I wrote a blog the other day about a patient her name was Fay and she had complete elimination of her herniated disc as a result of our treatment.  The one aspect of the blog that may be a bit odd is that she was a patient in 2007? So why have a story about a patient from 2007….  Because Fay was our first patient ever that we were able to identify, using MRI, that we could completely eliminate herniated discs with our treatment.

7 Symptoms of a Thoracic Herniated Disc

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Mon, May 12, 2014 @ 01:00 PM

Your thoracic vertebrae comprise the middle segment of the spine, where thoracic herniated discs may occur. These 12 vertebrae are located between the cervical (neck) area and the lumbar (lower back area). These upper back vertebrae run from the spot where the neck meets the back above the shoulder blade level and continue down to the bottom of the rib cage. The spinal bones are smaller in size at the top and grow larger down toward the lumbar area. These vertebrae have facets on the sides to interact with the ribs. A thoracic herniated disc may be caused by injury like a fall, strain or twist, or due to a cracked vertebra, a disc or discs weakened by aging, scar tissue or other causes.

What Does An MRI Image of a Herniated Disc Look Like?

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Thu, Feb 06, 2014 @ 03:57 PM

A herniated disc is a condition occurring from the rupture of the gel-like center through a weak area in the tough outer wall. Back or leg pain occurs when the disc compresses a spinal nerve. Its treatment is through conservative nonsurgical treatment. Research shows that 80 % of people undergoing treatment resume normal duties after about six weeks. In cases where this treatment does not work, surgery is the next option.
