Our sciatica stretch for this week is the Calf Stretch! The Sciatic Nerve is the largest nerve in the human body and is about as wide as a thumb. It travels from the lower spine down through the legs and all the way down to the foot. Because of that, Sciatica pain can cause numbness or even soreness in the calf. The Calf Stretch can help relieve the pain present in the calf due to Sciatica.
When people have back pain, they almost never consider that the way they are breathing could have any kind of impact on it. Most people don't even realize that they can breathe in different ways. And surprisingly, breathing the wrong way can actually make your back pain worse!
Russ was doing a favor for his daughter by building a deck for her wedding shower. However, while working on the deck he ended up rupturing a disc in his back.
