Our sciatica stretch for this week is the Hamstring Foam Roll Massage! Hamstrings can become extremely tight while compensating for one’s posture, and this can often place a severe strain on the lower back. This stretch will promote more blood flow to the area to increase the healing. It also increases extensibility of the hamstring muscle.
This may be hard to believe, but exercise can actually help to relieve your back pain. Although some people assume that performing a physical activity with a back injury will only make it worse, this is usually not true. It is often times one of the best things you can do for your pain! So the back pain relief tip for this week is about two of the best simple exercises to help relieve your back pain.
Danielle Freeman is a physical education teacher who also coaches track and cross country at her school. She first came to us after seeing one of our commercials, and she thought, "What the heck?" She had been suffering with back pain since she was just out of high school, and had already gone to see several doctors for help, but their treatments were ineffective. She was in constant pain now and was looking for any way to help relieve it. So she decided to give the Illinois Back Institute a try.
