Much of the back pain that people suffer with is caused by them not lifting objects in the correct way. One of the most common ways that people hurt their back while lifting is that they are not doing it correctly, and that is why this week's Back Pain Relief Tip is about knowing how to Lift the Right Way!
When David came into the Illinois Back Institute, he was in tears because of the pain. He was suffering with a herniated disc in his back. His job requires him to lift heavy objects, and over time his back would hurt more and more until one day it was difficult for him to even get out of bed. David feared that his back pain would leave him disabled and he would no longer be able to run and play with his son.
For many people, waking up with a stiff neck might be a common occurrence, especially as the temperatures get warmer. This can be a problem for some, because often times a stiff neck can lead to other problems, such as headaches, difficulty moving or turning of the head, intense neck and upper back pain, or even problems swallowing.
The Illinois Back Institute has five clinics in the Chicagoland area to better serve you! You can find their addresses below. Click or tap on one of the Maps to see a full-size, interactive version of it:
