As a society, over the years we have increasingly lead a more sedentary lifestyle. This country has become one where sitting nearly all of the time is a necessity. Most people are required to sit at work, on the way to work, or even at home to relax. The fact is that we are sitting too much, and it is having a negative effect on the health of your back!
Lucrecia has had back pain since 1980. Over the years of trying to get better she has had surgery four different times on her back, and none of them worked. Lucrecia even had a fusion surgery that put her in more pain then before. With the pain still there it was hard for her to live her life. This is Tip #4 of foods that can help improve the overall health of your back. Today's focus is cherries. Cherries are a great food for your back because they are full of antioxidants and other compounds that reduce inflammation. For example, cherries contain substances called anthocyanins, which provide the cherry's color and also have strong anti-inflammatory properties. Cherries also contain melatonin, which helps with inflammation (and can also help you sleep). In fact, some researchers have found that cherries have the highest anti-inflammatory content of any food!
