logo 470x246.pngThe Illinois Back Institute is emerging as the world expert in the treatment and care of back pain related to sciatica, failed back surgery, pinched nerves, bulging discs, herniated discs, degenerated discs, stenosis, and spondylolisthesis.

In a recent study comparing Illinois Back Institute with nationally recognized physical therapy clinics, Illinois Back Institute’s treatment protocol demonstrated superior decreases in pain and improvements in physical function in patients who were suffering from chronic back pain related to sciatica pain, bulging discs, herniated discs, degenerated discs, stenosis, and spondylolisthesis for greater than 12 months. The subjects in this study were patients who previously had treatment from a physical therapist, a chiropractor, received steroid injections, and had narcotics for pain.

On average, patients recruited for this study had an Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability score of 46.8/100 and a Numeric Pain rating score of 7.62/10 on a scale of 0-10 where 10 is the worst imaginable pain possible.
