Peter Panos came into the Illinois Back Institute with an MRI that showed he was suffering from l5 degenerated disc disease in the lower back. The pain started about a year-and-a-half ago after doing some heavy lifting, working and from years of bad posture. The pain also seems to flare up during certain types of movements, such as when a patient lifts something, twists their body, or bends over.
Peter tried several different treatments before coming into the Illinois Back Institute. He saw an orthopedic and did some physical therapy. The physical therapy helped but after 6 months the pain started up again. He also found the stretches and exercises that the staff gave him to be very helpful.
