The main reason for back pain is usually due to repetitive stress as a result of repetitive bending. Some of the variables that you do during the day are going to add more pressure to your discs. Hip Hinges is the right way that you bend that will avoid loading pressure on the discs. Too much pressure on the disc causes many different back issues.

1) Get a four-foot wooden dowel or broomstick (you can get that at your local hardware store)
2) Place the dowel behind you and line it up to your spine
3) Bend your body at your hips and the stabilized dowel on your head and the lowest part of your spine and this motion will teach you how to properly bend to avoid flexion.
4) Practice leaning forward with the dowel behind you and bending down as if you are picking up something.
