Steve Orzech came into the Illinois Back Institute due to soreness in his back and lack of mobility caused by past surgeries. His back pain started around 10-15 years ago. Steve recently had a 2 level disc fusion surgery to remove cists that was pressing against his spinal cord. After the surgery Steve expected to have better movement and to stop the pain in his back. The surgery did get rid of some of the pain but not all of it.
Steve came into the Illinois Back Institute with a pain level of 9 out of 10. He couldn’t move very much due to the pain being so severe. Steve was a big golfer but had to completely give up the game due to his back pain. Steve couldn’t even walk down the block with his wife or play ball with his grandchildren. His quality of life was diminishing!
After being 3 quarters of treatment at Illinois Back Institute Steve already feels 75-80% better. Steve said, “I expected improvements and I have to say that my quality of life since starting has greatly improved.” The therapy has increased his mobility and helped him get into a more active lifestyle. He is excited to get back to playing golf, walking with his wife & being able to bend down and play ball with his grandchildren. “It rejuvenates you,” said Steve about our therapy.
Steve’s job as a quality engineer requires him to go around to different companies and evaluate them on how they work. After evaluating our clinic he said, “The staff here is very professional, very knowledgeable and they are very friendly.” The staff is there to help & inform the patients. “They adjust therapy as you progress or even if you start to regress. They want to see it work!” Steve suggest to anyone who feels that their back pain is taking away from the quality of life to give the Illinois Back Institute a try.
