Repair Herniated Disc Caused By A Drunk Driving Accident

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Wed, Mar 20, 2013 @ 02:29 PM

A week before Jennifer's senior year in high school she was hit but a drunk driver leading to constant back pain. After 17 years Jennifer is still suffering from back pain due to this accident. Jennifer tried everything from painkillers to physical therapy to acupuncture. All of these treatments gave her relief for a short amount of time but the pain always came back. For the past 13 years she has been going on and off to chiropractic care but the pain was still constant.

Jennifer was recommended for surgery several times by several doctors. She refused to have the surgery because she knew many people who went through surgery and were not successful.

      • "I actually met people here that came to the Institute while I was going through the program that saw doctors, that I was recommended to, that got cut and they ended up here still with the same pain that they went in with." Jennifer
New Call-to-Action

After coming into the Illinois Back Institute we were able to point out a Herniated Disc in her MRI. Through Functional Disc Rehydration we took the pressure off the disc by allowing the nutrients to flow back into the disc. In the meantime, the supporting muscles are strengthened and reactivated to help the spine become stable once again.

"This is the best thing my husband saw on a commercial!" said Jennifer. Jennifer is now out of treatment and living life to the fullest without any back pain.

      • "The same tools that you’re going to learn here are the same tools that you're going to need to be successful when you’re finished with the program. It's a life changing program!" Jennifer
