Probably the most problematic and complicated back pain stems from a herniated disc. The inner gel of the nucleus can break through the outer portion of the disc and press into the spinal canal. This is where both very delicate and sensitive nerves are located and where the spinal cord resides. When the disc herniates, you know it because it hurts.
Using a process known as functional disc rehydration we at the Illinois Back Institute are able to eliminate herniated discs using a process that allows the gel from the disc known as the nucleus to move back into the disc and heal. This process can completely eliminate herniated discs without drugs, shots, or surgery!
We treated Allen Gill, a 54-year-old social worker from Edwards’s hospital, who had a very, very large herniated disc. When we treated Allen, he at the time had possibly the largest herniated disc I have ever seen, and I have seen thousands in my professional career. I have included his before and after MRI images that reveal a complete elimination of his very large herniated disc.
Before Allen came to us his back problems were getting worse. He had tried Physical Therapy and injections neither worked. The only option he was left with was surgery, this is often the case for patients with herniated discs.
He wasn’t too sure about getting the surgery so he thought he was going to live with it…… But herniated discs that size are hard to live with. They tend to put a great deal of pressure on the spinal cord and spinal nerves. Over time, he started to experience a great deal of pain in his legs. It got to the point where Allen was no longer able to enjoy or even go on vacations. He then decided he had to do something.
He came in to the Illinois Back Institute looking for some relief. He underwent 20 treatments and was feeling much better. A second MRI was performed and he was about 80 percent better. He has continued for 39 treatments and states all pain in the legs and back are gone. He can finally take that vacation he has been putting off!
We saved another one from surgery!
