Chronic Back Pain Caused Carmelita to Contemplate Suicide

Posted by Dr. Jeff Winternheimer D.C. on Wed, May 09, 2012 @ 06:55 PM

Carmelita Hubbard had been dealing with her chronic back pain for over 30 years. Her back pain was so severe that she had been contemplating suicide on several different occasions. All she wanted was peace and no more pain. She had tried many different chiropractors, physical therapists, took pain medications such as Norco and even pain patches. “I tried anything that I thought would make me feel better,” she says.

    • Carmelita’s thoughts were very dark. Her chronic back pain was too severe to bear. She knew even with surgery, she would have to deal with back pain for the rest of her life. “I tried surgery once and I didn’t get better, so I definitely didn’t want it again.”

One day, Carmelita was struggling with her suicidal thoughts. She got down on her knees and prayed to God to show her His way. She told God that she couldn’t do this anymore and didn’t want to be here any longer. After she finished praying, she looked over at her TV and saw information for the Illinois Back Institute.

    • They very next day she called for her free consultation and has been going to the Illinois Back Institute ever since!
Proven Success with Thousands of Patients

Before coming to the Illinois Back Institute, Carmelita saw no future. She was always in bed, couldn’t play with her grandchildren, wasn’t active in her church anymore and could barely work for a living. “When you have chronic back pain, you have no future. You’re just trying to live day by day.” Now Carmelita looks forward to a long, happy life with her family.

    • “I feel so much better now. Just with the therapy, working at home and the encouraging staff. Coming to the Illinois Back Institute was my resolution and it has really helped me tremendously.”

“I got my life back!” Carmelita now has a full time position where she can actually work. She can play with her grandchildren again; she is back active in her church. She can also dance and workout as well as many other things that her back pain was causing her to give up.

“Coming to the Illinois Back Institute, you have nothing to lose…except pain of course,” she says with a laugh and smile. “I would say give the Illinois Back Institute a try. If you’re having back problems and you have pain everyday and you think there is no way out…just come to the Illinois Back Institute. It really does work, you can get your life back and it has worked for me.”
