People hurt their backs in so many different ways, but one of the most common ways is from lifting something incorrectly. One of the main ways this occurs is because people lift objects immediately after getting up from a prone position. This can be very bad for your back. If you have been sitting or lying down for a long period of time, engaging in too much activity can result in back pain. It is extremely important to remember that if you have been off of your feet for a while, you need to wait to pick up anything or do anything aggressive with your back once you stand up. There are two main points about this tip, and they should always be remembered:
Number 1 - If you have been seated for over 40 minutes, it is very important to wait for 10 minutes after standing before picking up anything. Otherwise you have a greater chance of causing injury to your back.
Number 2 - After getting out of bed, do not lift anything for at least 30 minutes!
