Sciatica Stretch of the Week: Hip Flexor Stretch

This week's Sciatica Stretch is the Hip Flexor Stretch! Prolonged sitting increases the tightness in the hip flexor muscles, and if those muscles are tight it will alter body mechanics and posture which can affect your sciatica pain. Therefore, increased flexibility of the iliopsoas muscle is extremely important in order to decrease the severity of sciatica and lower back pain symptoms.

Patient Outcomes:

Case Studies #23 - 25

At the Illinois Back Institute, we believe that the outcomes of the patients we have treated are the key to helping new patients to understand their back problems. As a result, we are going to be publishing our catalog of over 3000 patient outcomes one-by-one, so that our patients can better understand the outcomes for the conditions that we treat. It is our belief that by publishing these outcomes, patients will be able to identify what is the best course of action to take to treat their conditions.

The Best Hamstring Stretches To Help Relieve Lower Back Pain

Stretching is very important for anyone suffering with Lower Back Pain. In particular, stretching the Hamstring twice a day is one of the easiest things you can do to help provide relief. If your hamstrings are tight, they place extra stress on the lower back. So keeping them loose is crucial for preventing the additional stress from causing even more pain.
