Back pain can be triggered by a number of things, one of them being the foods you eat. Your diet is a critical piece of the puzzle when it comes to controlling and avoiding back pain.

You want to avoid foods that cause inflammation in your body. The inflammation targets the area that is aggravated or the existing problem causing more pain. So if you already have a back problem inflammatory foods will increase your pain.

Foods to Avoid

  • Wheat
  • Pasta
  • Pretzels
  • Wheat Flour
  • White Bread
  • Cereal
  • Sugar
  • Processed Foods
  • Fast Foods
  • Ice Cream
  • Cheddar Cheeses
  • Snack Foods

You don’t have to cut all these food completely out of your life but you definitely want to not have them as much. This is not saying that your pain will stop right away but over time the pain will decrease. It can take a couple months to feel any relief.
